These buildings require HVAC systems with substantial cooling capacities that can adjust automatically to changes in load, as well as substantial fresh air supplies to ensure indoor air quality and comfort.

In large-volume buildings, the proportion of the space occupied by the effective area of the HVAC load is relatively low compared to the overall space; moreover, the ratio of the external wall area to the floor area in these large spaces is significant, leading to a substantial impact of natural convection from the outdoors on the indoor environment; this results in the formation of a distinct perimeter load zone. Due to the high capacity of spectators, the volume of fresh air and the supply air should be greater than that in general buildings. However, given the larger volume per person, a smaller air exchange rate can be employed, and the standards for fresh air volume can be appropriately reduced.

For smaller-scale buildings, where the footprint is limited and there is no dedicated space for equipment rooms, it is advisable to use Frimec's air-cooled chillers or air-cooled heat pump chilling (heating) units. During periods without events, only external business venues and a minimal number of auxiliary spaces like offices require cooling or heating; 2. The significant fluctuation in the number of people leads to significant variations in fresh air load.
